Jessica holds a PhD in literature and creative writing from the University of Denver. She was a poet-in-residence for three years with Colorado’s Writers in the Schools, where she trained writers and helped coordinate the program. She has been a reporter, a creative writing coach for an elementary school soccer team, and an instructor of undergraduate communication, creative writing, and literature courses at universities in the United States and abroad. Her first novel, I Have Blinded Myself Writing This (Short Flight/Long Drive Books), and a choose-your-own adventure chapbook of poems, You’re Going to Die Jess Wigent (Fact-Simile), are forthcoming. She writes book reviews for Necessary Fiction, and her poetry and prose have been published or are forthcoming in PANK, Alice Blue Review, Everyday Genius, Caketrain, and other handsome journals.
