Sasha has more than a decade of experience fundraising for and managing nonprofits. She cofounded and ran an outreach program in the arts for San Diego County through UCSD’s University Art Gallery, and as managing editor and then board president, she led Gulf Coast: A Journal of Arts and Literature to its strongest years of fiscal and audience growth in the journal’s twenty-five-year history. She holds graduate degrees in writing from Johns Hopkins and the University of Houston and has also been a writing instructor, serving as the writer-in-residence for an arts magnet high school in Baltimore and leading creative writing workshops and literature seminars at various schools including Rice University and the University of Houston Honors College.
